Glenn Marla Glenn is a performance artist, passionate dancer, sex educator, and beauty pageant queen (Miss LEZ 2006). Glenn graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BA in performance and directing. In the past 5 years has been bending New York City over and fucking it in the ass..... really hard. Beginning with the original ensemble piece "Where the Women Are" (Women's Center Stage at the Culture Project, Lady Fest East at Theater for the New City and a grant from Liberty Partnership Program In NYC public schools ) the Portland Phoneix called Glenn's work "Performance Art that Pushes the envelope without pushing the audience away" Glenn then went on to collaborate with "Foursome" for the Queer at Here fest. As a solo artist you may have seen Glenn at Joe's Pub, Galapagos Art Space,Ars Nova,Dixon Place 3rd Ward, DancePod ( P.S 122, and PICA) Glenn has done everything from Shakespeare at churches in Harlem to late night shows at the Cock. Tangerine Jones Known as "El Huracan del Azucar Marron" or "the Brown Sugar Hurricane" , the formidable Ms. Jones is five feet nine inches of hips, lips and hurricane fury. A colorful addition to the world of burlesque, she has shimmed across stages at Starshine Burlesque, Weimar New York at Speigeltent, Galapagos Art Space, Red Hots Burlesque and the Slipper Room. In 2006, she placed for Best Mermaid at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade. A classically trained actress, Ms. Jones pays homage to the African Diaspora and the Black Burlesque and Vaudeville performers of yesteryear. She educates and titillates. Old Ma Femme Conceived backstage at the Grammy Awards during a chance encounter between Freddy Mercury and Wynonna Judd, burlesque performer Old Ma Femme was destined to wow audiences with her musical talents, voluptuous curves, and general showmanship. Old Ma Femme has had the pleasure of performing in Red Hots Burlesque, Starshine Burlesque, Wassabasco, Kosher Chixxx, Burlesque at the Beach, and the New York Burlesque Festival. Recently, Old Ma Femme has branched out from the New York scene, headlining at the second annual "Festival Lesbico" in Mexico City, where she will be teaching a series of burlesque workshops this summer. Wherever she goes, this zaftig beauty loves to jiggle, croon, stomp, and twirl her way into the hearts of her audience. |

Lady Rigel Lady Rigel is all woman and them some. Rumor has it that Lady Rigel has the largest "assets" in the New York City burlesque scene today. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lady Rigel had started performing at the age of 2. Lady Rigel has a long list of accomplishments in many areas including operatic performance, dance and theater. Lady Rigel has also appeared as a model for several underground and independent periodicals and websites, as well as several independent films. As a burlesque performer, Lady Rigel has performed with some of the top burlesque troops such as Starshine Burlesque and Red Hots Burlesque and has been a featured performer at such venues as the Bowery Poetry Club and the Boudoir Bar. Other than burlesque, Lady Rigel actively works in independent film. She also volunteers at an animals shelter, is a mentor and is a certified dog trainer. |
